How it works

Here are the steps to follow for the proper use of your Kees

1. Dedicate time

Make sure you dedicate a good chunk of your time for this wonderful cleansing ritual.
The Kees is not for a quick morning shower before you head to work. It’s an endeavor which requires
patience and a deep connection with your skin.

2. prepare your skin

The first step in using the Kees is to prepare the skin with moist heat, either in a sauna or under running hot water for a few minutes. The steam softens the top layer of the
skin and opens its pores.

3. No soap

Absolutely no soap. The Kees relies on friction to slough off the skin’s dead outer layer. If you use soap, the friction is lost and the mitt becomes slippery rendering it ineffective.
This also applies to certain moisturizers. Make sure your body is clean of any lotion and creams

4. Scrub & Scrub

Once the skin is sufficiently prepared, begin scrubbing the skin back and forth repeatedly, removing impurities and stimulating blood circulation. Begin around the armpit.
Because sweat and bacteria accumulate in the creases, these areas serve as great instigators.

5. Rinse

After exfoliation, bathers rinse their skin removing residues and revealing clean, smooth skin.

6. Moisturize

It’s recommended to follow rinsing with the application of essential oils or traditional Moroccan clay masks to nourish the skin and leave it perfectly moisturized. Another option is to apply lotion once dry.

7. Kiss Care

wash your mitt thoroughly after use and let dry under the sun so that all bacteria are eliminated. Machine washing your Kees and drying it with high heat is another recommended option once every few weeks.

1. Dedicate Time:

Ensure you allocate a generous amount of time for this exquisite cleansing ritual. The Kees experience is not suited for a hurried morning shower before heading to work; rather, it demands patience and a profound connection with your skin.

2. Prepare Your skin:

To begin the Kees ritual, prepare the skin by exposing it to moist heat, achieved through either a sauna session or standing under running hot water for several minutes. This steam treatment serves to soften the skin’s surface and unlock its pores, enhancing the efficacy of the exfoliation process.

3. NO Soap:

Absolutely refrain from using soap when using the Kees, as it depends on friction to effectively remove the skin’s dead outer layer. Soap can diminish this friction, causing the mitt to become slippery and ineffective. Similarly, avoid applying certain moisturizers, ensuring your skin is free of any lotions or creams prior to using the mitt for optimal results.

4. Scrub & Scrub:

After adequately preparing the skin, commence vigorous scrubbing motions back and forth to eliminate impurities and enhance blood circulation. It’s advisable to start around the armpit region, as sweat and bacteria tend to accumulate in creases, making these areas prime targets for thorough cleansing.

5. Rinse:

After exfoliation, bathers rinse off any residue, revealing clean and smooth skin.

6. moisturize:

After rinsing, it’s recommended to apply essential oils or traditional Moroccan clay masks to nourish and deeply moisturize the skin. Alternatively, you can use lotion once the skin is dry.

7. Kees Care:

Thoroughly wash your mitt after use and let it dry in the sun to eliminate any bacteria. Alternatively, machine wash your Kees and dry it on high heat every few weeks for optimal hygiene.
